Flying as a vegan doesn’t have to mean settling for a sad salad or a single measly option. At London Heathrow, we’ve scoped out spots that go beyond the basics, offering multiple plant-based choices that will actually make your airport dining enjoyable. This is not an exhaustive list, but rather our curated picks—places where vegan options are plentiful and thoughtfully prepared.

Caffè Nero

Terminals 2, 3, 4, 5

Caffè Nero has long been a Planetly favorite for its variety of non-dairy espresso drinks. We love the pistachio latte for a nutty pick-me-up, and the raspberry croissant for a sweet snack. For breakfast or a heartier bite, try the porridge or the plant-based mushroom & tomato ragu panini. Other delicious vegan-friendly options include the Mediterranean vegetable panini and the roasted vegetable plant-based savoury roll.

Itsu

Terminal 5

Looking for fresh, flavorful Asian-inspired bites? Itsu delivers. Edamame, avocado rolls, the veggie sushi collection, veggie festival poke, and veggie gyoza make it easy to grab a satisfying, plant-based meal before your flight. Itsu is one of our favorites because it’s tasty, filling, and easy on the wallet!

Giraffe World Kitchen

Terminals 3 and 5

Giraffe excels at customizable comfort food. Swap meat for Quorn in curries and stir-fries, or try burgers featuring Moving Mountains and THIS Isn’t Bacon. With plenty of plant-based choices, it’s easy to enjoy a full meal that hits all the flavors you crave.

Pret A Manger

Terminals 2, 3, 4, 5

Pret makes vegan travel easy with both coffee and food options. Non-dairy milks are available for your favorite espresso drinks, and the menu features grab-and-go meals like the Avo, Olive & Toms Slim Baguette; falafel, avo & chipotle flatbread; humous & chipotle wrap; and humous & falafel mezze salad. Quick, tasty, and convenient for boarding in a hurry.

Wagamama

Terminal 5

Wagamama’s vegan options are flavorful and filling. Start with edamame or koko ‘prawn’ crackers, then try miso soup, yasai vegetable gyoza, mixed mushroom bao buns, or hot sweet fried vegan chicken. Each dish brings the bold, comforting flavors the chain is known for, with a plant-based twist.

YO! Sushi

Terminals 2, 3, 4

YO! Sushi keeps it simple but flavorful for plant-based travelers. Avocado maki, inari tacos, and yasai rolls offer a satisfying, grab-and-go option that still feels gourmet. It’s a great choice when you want something quick, tasty, and entirely vegan before your flight.

Quick Stops and Meal Deals

If you’re in a rush—or flying with a not-so-vegan-friendly airline—Boots or WH Smith usually have at least one vegan option in their meal deals. On a recent trip, we spotted a vegan Ploughman sandwich that hit the spot before takeoff. There are also other coffee chains like Starbucks, though their vegan food selection has become more limited in recent years.
