Welcome to a hotel that flips the Silicon Valley script. Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley, the first US location of Barry Sternlicht’s playful hospitality brand, has officially opened in Sunnyvale. Forget sleek and sterile—this whimsical hotel ditches the tech-world polish for cozy nooks, nostalgic touches, and a design that celebrates curiosity, comfort, and carefreedom.
“Treehouse Hotels bring together all the things we crave but rarely make space for—nature, spontaneity, fun and games, and a little bit of nonsense,” said Sternlicht. “Silicon Valley didn’t need another sleek hotel. It needed something human. So we built a one-of-a-kind hideaway that invites you to climb up, branch out, and live more freely. It’s a place you’ve never been but have always belonged.”
Not Your Typical Business Stay
Housed on a reimagined orchard, the 111-room hotel embraces its roots—literally. Native trees, citrus groves, and garden paths surround vibrant interiors filled with vintage finds, hand-painted murals, and vinyl records. It’s the kind of place where brainstorms happen by fire pits and meetings spill into the beer garden. Flexible event spaces, from a rustic barn to open-air terraces, encourage connection and creativity.

Eat, Sip, and Stay a While
Treehouse Hotels keeps food fun, fresh, and local. At Valley Goat, Chef Stephanie Izard serves bold, globally inspired plates. The Backyard Café and seasonal Beer Garden round out the offerings, with craft brews, coffee, and lawn games. Guests can also order in and cozy up with an in-room craft kit and custom playlist.

Built with the Planet in Mind
Sustainability drives every detail. The hotel preserved over 120 existing trees and planted 300 more, installed water-saving tech, and upcycled structures from a former corporate campus. Zero-waste kitchens, refill stations, and composting programs keep operations low-impact and planet-positive.

A Stay That Feels Like Play
Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley invites you to slow down, branch out, and find joy in the unexpected. Whether you’re planning a team retreat, staycation, or solo escape, this retreat reimagines the hospitality experience for curious travelers and creative minds alike.
